Art is definitely in the eye of the beholder on Vero Beach real estate. With the Vero Beach Museum of Art housing a treasure trove of art pieces there is surely something to appeal to everyone. Most media is represented in the permanent collections. Displays of glass, photography, works on paper, screen, painting and sculpture all have dominant spaces.
Rotating exhibits keep things up to date and interesting. Currently showcased is a collection of pottery made by an enslaved African potter. David Drake was once simply known as “Dave”, and is considered “a legendary figure in the cultural history of the south.” Also highlighted is a series of paintings by Florida landscape artist Bruce Marsh. In the upcoming months the spotlight will turn to critically recognized sculptor Deborah Butterfield and other beloved masters of the arts.
